 Mott The Hoople

"We all think we're Pink Floyd."

A little-known band called “Mott the Hoople” was getting ready to throw in the towel, having never had a hit and dealing with daily grumblings in the band.

Then, a guy named David Jones (aka David Bowie) lent them a song he wrote called “All The Young Dudes”, and The Hoople discovered brief fame and fortune.

This song is traditionally electric but I’ve played it on acoustic and heard some great acoustic versions.  There are very few video lessons out there so I’ve cobbled together what I can find.

Lesson #1 from Gtrjoeles…

lesson. how to play, beatles

Lesson #1.5 (not really a lesson but good fret shots) from Privettricker…

Cool cover #1 with fret-viewing goodness comes from Ramborg2009…

Cover #2 is a fun interpretation (sorry – can’t see frets)…

Got a favorite?  Post it in the comments up top and I’ll add it.
